Democrats’ Clear Record Against Reducing Energy Prices

Pains at the Pump Don't liberals like sky-high fuel prices?

NEIL CAVUTO: Sen. Dick Durbin on Gas Price Politics
Excerpts:
DURBIN: A windfall profits tax would say to these oil companies once and for all, you can't rip us off at the pump day in and day out, for no good market reason, without a penalty. And the money should go back directly to consumers, who are paying these outrageous prices for gasoline.

CAVUTO: Senator, do you know how much, out of curiosity, is built into a gallon of gasoline, the profits of the oil companies? Do you know what's the average?
Maybe you could answer my question. It's about 9 cents. Do you know how much taxes are, Senator? About 50 cents. 78 cents in California.

Democratic campaign workers convicted in tire slashing case

Four Democratic activists from Milwaukee were convicted of a misdemeanor Friday for their alleged role in slashing the tires of Republican-rented vehicles on Election Day 2004, while a fifth was acquitted.

Four of the five, including the sons of the mayor and the congresswoman (Rep. Gwen Moore, D-Wis) - Michael Pratt, 33; Sowande Omokunde, 26; Lewis Caldwell, 29; and Lavelle Mohammad, 36 - pleaded no contest to misdemeanor criminal damage to property.

The men pleaded no contest in January to misdemeanor property damage. A fifth worker was found not guilty.

"This case had to be a public example of what can happen when you interfere with voters' rights," said Milwaukee County Circuit Judge Michael Brennan, who rejected prosecutors' recommendation of probation for the four men.

Rick Graber, chairman of the Republican Party of Wisconsin, was not happy with the outcome.

This Just In… U.S. to Try Enforcing Immigration Laws

The Department of Homeland Security announced Thursday that it would be implementing a new, revolutionary, cutting-edge, state-of-the-art approach to the illegal immigration problem. What is this “new” approach? Believe it or not, the department declared that the U.S. would now be cracking down on employers who “knowingly and recklessly” hire illegal aliens. In other words, they are going to try a “new” program called “enforcing existing laws.” Guess what? It works!

"This is the only country on Earth that thinks it's not sporting to consider our own interests in choosing immigrants. Try showing up in any other country on the planet, illiterate and penniless, and announcing: "I've seen pictures of your country and it looks great. I think I'd like to live here! Oh, and by the way, would you mind changing all your government and business phone messages, street signs and ballots into my native language? Thanks!" They would laugh you out of the country."

HEARD ON THE MORNING SHOW
Dear President Bush:
I'm about to plan a little trip with my family and extended family, and I would like to ask you to assist me. I'm going to walk across the border from the U.S. into Mexico, and I need to make a few arrangements. I know you can help with this.

I plan to skip all the legal stuff like visas, passports, immigration quotas and laws. I'm sure they handle those things the same way you do here.

So, would you mind telling your buddy, President Vicente Fox, that I'm on my way ? Please let him know that I will be expecting the following:
1. Free medical care for my entire family.

2. English-speaking government bureaucrats for all services I might need, whether I use them or not.

3. All government forms need to be printed in English.

4. I want my kids to be taught by English-speaking teachers.

5. Schools need to include classes on American culture and history.

6. I want my kids to see the American flag flying on the top of the flag pole at their school with the Mexican flag flying lower down.

7. Please plan to feed my kids at school for both breakfast and lunch.

8. I will need a local Mexican driver's license so I can get easy access to government services.

9. I do not plan to have any car insurance, and I won't make any effort to learn local traffic laws.

10. In case one of the Mexican police officers does not get the memo from Pres. Fox to leave me alone, please be sure that all police officers speak English.

11. I plan to fly the U.S. flag from my house top, put flag decals on my car, and have a gigantic celebration on July 4th. I do not want any complaints or negative comments from the locals.

12. I would also like to have a nice job without paying any taxes, and don't enforce any labor laws or tax laws.

13. Please tell all the people in the country to be extremely nice and never say a critical word about me, or about the strain I might place on the economy.

Mr. President, I know this is an easy request because you already do all these things for all the people who come to the U.S. from Mexico. I am sure that Pres. Fox won't mind returning the favor if you ask him nicely. However, if he gives you any trouble, just invite him to go quail hunting with your V.P.

Democrats Protest Indiana Voter Photo ID Law

A federal court has upheld an Indiana law requiring people to show a government-issued photo ID before voting, much to the disappointment of the Democratic Party, which says many of its constituents -- minorities, the poor, the elderly and the disabled -- will be adversely affected.

"Indiana's voter ID law, widely regarded as one of the most restrictive in America, creates unfair obstacles that will prevent citizens who are lawfully eligible to vote from casting their ballots," said DNC Chairman Howard Dean in a statement issued on Monday.
I have a problem with this quote from Dr. Dino.
What does "lawfully eligible" mean.
What it probably means is; People born in their homes because they couldn't afford a hospital or had no way of getting there. Therefore they don't have a birth certificate to prove citizenship. The DemocRats probably played the race card on this one.
What it really means is; it will be more difficult for us to commit voter fraud. Of course the donkeys will
Appeal Ruling on Indiana's Voter ID Law or attempt to.

Once again, the Democratic Party has come down firmly against any measure to reduce voter fraud. I guess it's because fraud is such a fruitful source of votes for their candidates. ~ Ohiowoman

Just proof again that they have to scramble for every vote they can from illegals, jail birds and the dead! ~ Thundercat
The ruling means voters who show up for Indiana's May 2 primary must produce a driver's license, passport, or other photo identification issued by the state or federal government.

Jane Fonda: 'Too Much Baggage' to Speak on Iraq War

Graphic By KSFO Radio, San Francisco Cindy Sheehan as Barbarella.

Jane Fonda says she would like to tour the country and speak out against U.S. involvement in Iraq, but her controversial history of Vietnam War protests leaves her with "too much baggage."

"I wanted to do a tour like I did during the Vietnam War, a tour of the country," the Oscar-winning actress said Monday on ABC's "Good Morning America." "But then Cindy Sheehan filled in the gap, and she is better at this than I am. I carry too much baggage."

Her political activities protesting the Vietnam War, including a trip to North Vietnam in 1972, have long made her a target of veterans. NewsMax
The reason Vietcong Jane did not want to do a tour of Iraq is because:
#1. She would have to hire her own bodyguards (if anyone was stupid enough to bodyguard for her)
#2. She is afraid that the terrorists would not give her a free pass (being a woman and a non-Arab) for safe passage.
#3.The fighting men and women of our armed forces would probably turn a blind eye if she were kidnapped in front of them and wish the terrorists good luck. ~ Love my Texas.

Immigration Laws

Source1. Only professionals or investors can immigrate to the country. No unskilled laborers will be allowed in. Investors must be able to invest at least 40,000 times the daily average wage. If they can't, they are not allowed in.

2. Immigrants may purchase property, but locations and availability will be limited. Ocean front property cannot be purchased by immigrants. It is exclusively for citizens born in the country.

3. Immigrants cannot vote nor can they be elected to any public office.

4. Immigrants cannot collect any type of government assistance.

5. Immigrants cannot protest the countries government, policies or president.

6. Immigrants cannot display a flag of a foreign country.

7. Immigrants who have illegally entered the country will be found and imprisoned.

Well, these are laws that are currently part of the Immigration Laws of, you guessed it, MEXICO!!! Source Click the picture.
Ann Coulter has the solution.
Asked how she would solve the illegal immigration problem, Coulter told Fox News Channel's Bill O'Reilly on Thursday: "I'd build a wall. In fact, I'd hire illegal immigrants to build the wall."

Coulter told O'Reilly that she also favors deporting illegal aliens wherever they turn up, noting that immigration authorities missed a perfect opportunity to get a head start on the effort with the recent wave of pro-illegal protests.

"We could have done it very easily in the last week," she explained. "You could have just sent paddy wagons to the protests."

As outrageous as Coulter's comments may seem, her views on illegal immigration are firmly in the mainstream of U.S. public opinion. Insider Report

Congressmen fight to prevent offshore oil development.

April 6, 2006 Lois Capps (D - CA) of Congressional District number 23 of California Joined by More Than 100 House Members in Call to Protect Coast From New Off Shore Oil and Gas Drilling.
District 23: San Luis Obispo, Ventura, Santa Barbara.

Congresswoman Capps, along with Representatives Jeff Miller (R-FL), Jim Saxton (R-NJ), and Jim Davis (D-FL) worked extensively with coastal community advocates to build support among their colleagues for this renewed request to extend the moratorium on offshore oil and gas drilling.

Gas prices in California, Palm Springs is $3.00 plus per gallon.
$3.00 per gallon as been spotted in Florida.

There has not been one word from these same 101 so called "Representatives" about Castro drilling for oil off Florida coast.
Imagine what Castro is thinking as we spend our time quarreling over whether we should produce American energy 100, 150 or 250 miles from the Florida coast while he makes arrangements to set up shop hundreds of miles closer. He must love that we've allowed emotion to win out over reason, facts to be dwarfed by fear and our nation's energy policy to be driven by unreasonable environmental concerns.

How would you like to see gasoline at $5.00 a gallon? Freepers! call this list to advocate for more energy production. This is a letter from Rep. Jim Davis, who is retiring from Congress to run for Governor of Florida. If these clowns really wanted to help the environment in Florida, they would concentrate Government resources to fight the "Red Tide."

How high does the price of gas have to go before the voters vote these environmentalist out of office?

At a time when illegal aliens are marching in the streets, terrorism is rampant the world over and entitlement spending is through the roof, the California legislature has pinpointed a more important issue - gay history is not yet mandatory in our schools.

Sheila Kuehl, quirky co-star of the classic TV show "The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis" and current California Democrat state senator, has written a bill that would make it mandatory for California's schools to provide instruction regarding the positive historical impact of homosexuals in America.

SB 1437 has made it out of California's Senate Judiciary Committee with a 3-1 vote, 3 Democrats voting in lockstep.

Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger may have to decide in the upcoming weeks whether to sign or veto the law. The Left Coast Report

McKinney apologizes for role in scuffle

Cynthia McKinney

WASHINGTON — With her support among black lawmakers and Democrats eroding and a grand jury weighing whether to charge her with a crime, Rep. Cynthia McKinney of Georgia went on the House floor Thursday and apologized for her role in a scuffle with a Capitol Police officer last week.

"There should not have been any physical contact in this incident," said McKinney, surrounded by a handful of lawmakers. "I am sorry this misunderstanding happened at all and I regret its escalation and I apologize."

After a week of claiming she was the victim of racial profiling, McKinney abruptly shifted course and apologized.

As McKinney was apologizing, a federal grand jury was preparing to hear testimony from subpoenaed congressional aides who witnessed her confrontation with the Capitol Hill officer. more
Well, isn't she just too special? How did this go from a racially motivated, and practically an assault on her, her gender and her race, to a "misunderstanding?"

I saw that apology and if I got an apology from one of my kids in that tone of voice, with the rolling of eyes like she gave, my kid would be grounded til she was 32.

But she isn't a rebellious teenager, she's a member of Congress, a grown woman and supposedly a citizen of the USA...a country of law.

President Bush Discusses America's Strong and Growing Economy

President Bush on Friday said, "These gains are the result of the energy and the effort of American workers, small business owners and entrepreneurs. They are also the result of pro-growth economic policies. The tax cuts I signed left $880 billion with our nation's workers, small business owners and families. They've used that money to fuel our economic resurgence." Full Story

Before you liberals start regurgitating your anti-American bile after you've read this story be aware, if a liberal can be aware of anything, Bush was stating facts.
And before you shout He Leaked--He Leaked--He Leaked-- be aware DUBYA CAN'T LEAK. Constitutionally, the authority to declare documents "classified" resides with the president. So, under the terms of an executive order first drafted in 1982, he can declassify a document merely by declaring it unclassified.

However, when did liberals care about the facts or the truth.

Philologous: Knocks One Out Of The Park

11 ILLEGAL ALIENS ARRESTED WORKING AT TEXAS MILITARY BASE
FORT WORTH, Texas - U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) special agents announced today (January, 18, 2006) the arrest of 11 aliens suspected of working illegally at the Naval Air Station (NAS) Joint Reserve Base (JRB) here. ICE worked in coordination with the U.S. Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) and the Joint Law Enforcement and Security Department both located at NAS JRB, and with the FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force (JTTF). ICE Web Site Rush asked this question today on his show. "Were they doing jobs Americans wouldn't do?"

Harry Reid's 1993 Bill Cracked Down on Illegal "Freeloaders"
He Wanted to Ship 'Em Out: Reid's 1993 Bill
Still thinking about illegal immigration, one of the arguments that I hear and have to take issue with is the one which asserts that these illegals don’t take jobs from Americans because they do jobs that Americans won’t do. I keep trying to figure out which jobs these may be. But it doesn’t really matter. The simple fact is that illegal immigrants aren’t here to satisfy our needs; they are not here to do us any favors. They are here because they cannot find work in their home country (you know, the country whose flag they fly while demanding that we give them certain rights). And the jobs they do are not jobs that Americans won’t do, but jobs that Americans don’t have to do, for various reasons.

Capitol Police Seek Arrest Warrant Against McKinney

Cynthia McKinneyThe U.S. Capitol Police today submitted their case against Representative Cynthia McKinney to the U.S. Attorney's office, which will consider whether the Georgia congresswoman will face charges for tangling with a law enforcement officer last week.

The 51-year-old McKinney scuffled with a police officer on March 29 when she entered a House office building without her identifying lapel pin and did not stop when asked. Several police sources said the officer, who was not identified, asked her three times to stop. When she kept going, he placed a hand somewhere on her and she hit him, according to the officials. McKinney Admits Misusing Taxpayer Money
Rep. Cynthia McKinney admits that she broke government rules by spending money to fly a celebrity to Atlanta.

Channel 2 Action News has uncovered documents showing McKinney, D-Ga., spent about $1,000 of taxpayer's money to fly singer Isaac Hayes to Georgia to help dedicate a new office in Atlanta.

The money came from a fund members of Congress are supposed to use for office supplies.

Using the money to pay for Hayes' airline ticket and hotel expenses is a violation of strict congressional rules. Those rules state that taxpayer money can only be used for "travel by Members, Members' employees and vendors. A vendor is an employee of a private company that provides maintenance and support for equipment and software..."

Immigration bill proposes in-state tuition for illegals

No Illegal Alien Left Behind

The immigration bill now under consideration in the Senate would grant even a broader amnesty to illegal aliens than similar legislation did in 1986, conservatives say, and would make hundreds of thousands of illegal residents eligible for in-state tuition at public colleges and universities.

"It should be called 'No Illegal Alien Left Behind,'?" said Sen. Jeff Sessions, Alabama Republican. story
Sen. Edward M. Kennedy, Massachusetts Democrat and primary author of the bill, defends the program and it appears President Bush is in bed with him, so to speak, for in-state tuition. The Democrats are doing to Bush 43 what the Democrats and former Senator James Sasser did to Bush 41 when they conned him into raising taxes after he said, "Read my lips, no new taxes." We all know what happened to him.

If this bill, granting illegal aliens (criminals) to in-state tuition at public colleges and universities, becomes law there will be a backlash from middle America. The Republicans will wake up the day after the elections and find the Democrats the House majority and Nancy P. the Speaker of the House. Her first order of business will be to impeach Bush.
