Gore Laments U.S. 'Abuses' Against Arabs
Al Gore Event Funded by Bin Laden's Family
Al Bore should be told to leave his key underneath the mat. He should be charged with treason. Who knows what kind of secrets he is telling the Bin Laden family.~ KatyFormer Vice President Al Gore told a mainly Saudi audience on Sunday that the U.S. government committed "terrible abuses" against Arabs after the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks, and that most Americans did not support such treatment.
Gore said Arabs had been "indiscriminately rounded up" and held in "unforgivable" conditions. The former vice president said the Bush administration was playing into al-Qaida's hands by routinely blocking Saudi visa applications.
"The thoughtless way in which visas are now handled, that is a mistake," Gore said during the Jiddah Economic Forum. "The worst thing we can possibly do is to cut off the channels of friendship and mutual understanding between Saudi Arabia and the United States."
Gore told the largely Saudi audience, many of them educated at U.S. universities, that Arabs in the United States had been "indiscriminately rounded up, often on minor charges of overstaying a visa or not having a green card in proper order, and held in conditions that were just unforgivable."
"Unfortunately there have been terrible abuses and it's wrong," Gore said. "I do want you to know that it does not represent the desires or wishes or feelings of the majority of the citizens of my country." (Which country is that?)
Only 500-some votes kept this buffoon from being our President!
Gore is a traitorous liar who should have his citizenship revoked. He should be deported to the wonderful Arab countries with whom he seems to value more than Americans or America. He is an idiot liberal who has lost touch with reality and reason. He should be deported or locked up for treason. ~ GaryREP. KING RIPS GORE 'DISGRACE'
February 14, 2006 -- WASHINGTON — House Homeland Security Chairman Peter King yesterday blasted Al Gore as "disgraceful" for claiming that President Bush committed "terrible abuses" against Arabs after 9/11 and is wrongly barring Saudi visitors.
"Since 15 of the 19 hijackers on 9/11 were Saudis, it would have been irresponsible for us not to impose strict conditions. It's just common sense. Al Gore seems to have gone off the deep end," said Rep. King (R-L.I.).
"It certainly answers the question of what Al Gore would have done if he'd been president on 9/11. He would have apologized to Saudi Arabia. Either he's lost it or he's putting his hatred of Bush ahead of America's security."
Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) said, "I have a great deal of respect for Al Gore but I simply disagree with his view on Saudi immigration in a post-9/11 world."
Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-N.Y.) declined comment.
