Old foes McCain, Falwell commence reconciliation
Sen. John McCain told graduates of Liberty University yesterday that Americans "have our disagreements," but "we are not enemies," during his commencement speech at the conservative school in Lynchburg, Va., home to his one-time political adversary the Rev. Jerry Falwell.(Washington Times)
Americans "have our disagreements," but "we are not enemies,"
Quote from a Republicat trying to go back to the right.
There are anti-American enemies they're not disagreements.
"For [Al] Gore to make his anti-American remarks in Saudi Arabia is at least as bad as what Nazi sympathizers said in this country and abroad leading up to and during World War II. One definition of 'treason' is: Violation of allegiance toward one's country or sovereign, especially the betrayal of one's country by waging war against it or by consciously and purposely acting to aid its enemies. By any objective standard, Al Gore's remarks in Saudi Arabia appear to fit the definition."
~ Cal Thomas ~
Sean Penn gave aid and comfort to the enemy.
Former President Jimmy Carter has pathetically attacked the United States and defended the terrorist group, Hamas.
"Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn't an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag... We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language... and we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people." Theodore Roosevelt
Let every nation know, whether it wishes us well or ill, that we shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe, in order to assure the survival and the success of liberty. John F. Kennedy

Don't have too much disgust for ol' Johnny........He's going to be the Republican nominee in 2008. Whether we like it or not.
This prospect makes me want to hurl, but I'm quite certain it's coming.
Question is will we (we Conservatives) support him to ensure we aren't stuck with one of the looney tunes (Hillary) or will we spite ourselves just to keep McCain out?
Politics sucks in this way, but I've never seen a "perfect candidate".........Heaven knows Bush hasn't been perfect.

McCain sure as hell isn't the best, but he is much better than the choice coming from the DNC.
I've voted twice for this man as AZ Senator, and it left a sick feeling in my stomach.......But he was far superior to the other choice.
WE CAN'T BE APATHETIC IF HE IS THE NOMINEE! The result of doing so would be horrendous.
Jay,
You are absolutely right.(accidental pun)
If the ticket is Republican v. Loony Tune Democrat there is no doubt I would vote for the Republican even if it's Arizona's favorite RINO senator.
In California in the past it made no difference the majority, with the exception of Ronald Reagan, always goes to the Democrat.
However, it could be a different story if The Hilda beast is the Democrat.
With the exception of a very few, most of the people I know are Democrats. When asked if they would vote for Hillary most say, no. Does that mean you'll vote for the Republican? Their answer, No I just won't vote.
Hip Hip Hooray, I say.
So, could it be a Hillary v. McClown race would be the Apathy Election of All Time?
Conservatives sitting out McCain, but not able to vote (R)......Moderate Democrats sitting out Hillary, but not able to vote (D).
This is a dangerous situation, because the idiotic "fence sitters" would completely controll the outcome.
Which is why we must push for all Conservatives to NEVER BE APATHETIC....And also not be stupid enough to roll out the carpet for a Democrat (Hillary or anyone else.)
But we should encourage our Democrat "friends" to sit it out:)
