McCain On Top?

John McCainCarl Leubsdorf of the Dallas Morning News wrote a column recently calling John McCain "the man to beat" for the Republican Presidential nomination in 2008.

McCain is trying to move back to the right politically as he positions himself for his next Presidential campaign. It is too early to tell if he will be successful in wooing substantial conservative support, but Carl Leubsdorf of the News is definitely premature in calling Sen. John McCain the "GOP’s main man" in 2008.

McCain may be thought by some to be a RINO,
but if he's nominated he will win in the presidency!

I've said it all along that McCain will be the nominee in 2008.

Some other things to note about him:

1.He's playing very nice with Bush, has taken on many of Bush's campaign people ($$$ and strategy people).

2. Condi just took her name out of the NFL Commish job......She's always said it is her dream job, and it was her's to take. It isn't a job that comes open very often and she wouldn't have passed on it if she didn't have bigger plans.

These plans are to be McCain's VP.
--------------
He's not my first choice, but she is......If he can get her as VP, I'd gladly take the trade off.

I've said it for years, the fix between McCain and Bush is in the mix.........And part of that fix is McCain setting Condi up.

Jay, You're very astute. I never thought of McCain / Condi.
It makes sense..why else would she nix the NFL Commish job.
Thanks for your input.
