If you served or serving in the Navy you might be interested in this.
The Chief of Naval Operations has approved production of both a BDU-style working uniform for all Sailors E-1 to O-10 and a more practical, year-round service uniform to withstand day-to-day classroom and office-like environments where the service uniform is typically worn.
Washington D.C. - Outfitting the Sailor of the future took another step forward last week when Chief of Naval Operations Adm. Mike Mullen approved plans for a single working uniform for all ranks and a year-round service uniform for E-6 and below Sailors.

A Salute to Women Veterans
The theme for this year's Women's History Month, "Women: Builders of Communities & Dreams," honors the spirit of possibility and hope set in motion by generations of women in their creation of communities and their encouragement of dreams. Women served valiantly and died in every major war and conflict throughout our nation's history. Officially, women have been serving on active duty in the U.S. military since 1901. Unofficially, they have been serving since the American Revolution. For more information on women's service to our country including information on benefits available to women veterans, visit the Center for Women Veterans website.
Jenny, the only comic strip about life as a military wife.
What Military Spouses are saying about Jenny.
I love Jenny! It's so nice to have something to laugh at and relate to. It has brought a smile to my face while my hubby is gone! ~ e

I was in the AF and never had to deal with the full assortment of uniforms the other services have......We only had BDU's and dress blues.
Outside of basic and tech school, I don't think I put my blues on 20 times........I loved the summer BDU's, and was thrilled the Air Force was foresighted enough to ok them in almost ever MOS.
The Navy would be smart to do likewise.........And they'd save a lot of money in the process.
When I was in the Navy, many moons ago, we had 3 choices-dress blues, dress whites and dungarees.

Julius - thanks for posting a link to my comic strip about life as a military spouse. Although I've had a few more years in this life as a spouse than has the title character, Jenny is autobiographical in that she will do whatever it takes to make sure her husband can fight for freedom without worrying about her, their home, or their marriage.
It sounds corny but that (and much more) is what we military spouses do. She'll learn to accomplish those things the same way I did: with lots of mistakes and lots of laughter.
Thanks again. And thanks for your site. I'm enjoying the various links to people I may not get the chance to read/hear while stationed overseas.
