Good News for California's Drivers / Women's History Month
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) recently announced that they will eliminate the 2 percent oxygenate mandate later this year, allowing California refineries greater flexibility to produce more cost-effective gasoline formulations. For years, Congresswoman Bono, along with several of her California colleagues, has pressured the EPA to waive the 2 percent oxygenate mandate in California and worked to include this waiver in the Energy Policy Act of 2005. March is Women's History Month
The House Republican Conference has created a new website exclusively dedicated to accomplished women in honor of Women's History Month. The website will feature profiles of influential women who have made positive contributions to the country, a brief history of the celebration of Women's History Month and profiles of female Republican House members. The website can be found at: www.gop.gov/whm. The site also provides the opportunity for visitors to submit their reflections and comments about the importance of women throughout history.
