Look what global warming did to Okla. and Ark.
Snow, ice cause crashes in Okla., Ark.
A second winter storm in as many days hit Oklahoma and Arkansas early Thursday, closing schools, grounding planes and keeping roads slick and dangerous.
The storm followed snow and freezing drizzle that fell on the area Wednesday, causing dozens of accidents and four deaths.
The networks on Wednesday, without any sense of any questions about the media-fueled scientific "consensus," continued their hyperbolic panic over the supposed dire threat of global warming. ABC's Good Morning America displayed this on-screen throughout a report from weather reader Sam Champion: "Will Billions Die from Global Warming?" Champion eagerly relayed how the upcoming report from the UN's Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) "will estimate that between 1.1 and 3.2 billion people will suffer from water shortage problems by 2080. That's not your grandchildren, that's your children. And between 200 million and 600 million more people will be going hungry." NewsBusters
These people are somewhere between wacko and idiot if not both.
Bill Nye the "Science Guy," who actually suggested that global warming could end up stopping the Gulf Stream. I kid you not.
NBC: Beware of 'Global Warming'; No Wait,
Fear the 'Deep Freeze'
About 12 minutes into Thursday's NBC Nightly News anchor Brian Williams warned viewers about "global warming," but just eight minutes later NBC ran a story about the month-long "deep freeze" in Colorado. If journalists can fret about global warming every time there's a heat wave, it's just as legitimate to point out such a glaring contrast on a newscast even if the events are really no more contradictory than claiming above average temperatures one month are evidence of global warming.
With "Global Warming" on screen in the graphic over his shoulder, Williams promoted the "much-anticipated" upcoming report from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change: "Global warming, they are to say, is very likely to be caused by people, by very likely, the scientists behind this report say, that means 90 percent certain." Williams went on to trumpet how "Al Gore has been nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize for his work fighting global warming." Then, 20 minutes into the program, viewers saw "Deep Freeze" on screen as Williams noted how a month ago "the devastating first wave of winter smacked into Colorado," and as a result, "many of the cattle in Colorado are in deep trouble and suffering badly now." Reporter Kevin Tibbles began with a newborn calf struggling "to survive in an especially brutal Colorado winter." Tibbles highlighted how the majority of calves born to one rancher have died and the rancher blamed the temperature: "They were born in the snow and it was too cold..."

RJay, I saw a news story last night on a FOX affiliate stating that in just "a few decades" Wisconsin will lose its forests, wildlife, and fish because of global warming.
The reporter said Wisconsin traditions as we know them, like deerhunting and fishing, would be history.
I'd expect such garbage from Al Gore and the "sky is falling" libs, but this story really caught me off guard.
It was ridiculous. Laughable.
Mary,
These people are absolutely nuts.
I'm waiting for some liberal to tell me I spelled fard wrong.
No mention though of another "El Nino" in the ocean though?
I live in Oklahoma, and yes we have been having snow storm after snow storm, but I noticed on the weather channel 15 years ago just before I moved here, the same "Exact" thing was happening then! So I move to Oklahoma and granted we have only had one decent winter since I moved here, and the rest have all been nothing comapred to this, but it happens!
Weather patterns change, they always have. There seems to be either an El Nino or a La Nina in the ocean whenever it seems fit to do so, but I have yet to see ANY scientific evidence to prove that this is nothing more than the earth cleansing itself!
Marie,
There is no scientific evidence and they know it.
They want to scare the uninformed.
It's the only agenda they have.
We have a low of 30° here.
That may not be cold to you.
I live in the Palm Springs area and anything under 70° is cold to me.
