Air Force One arrived at Andrews Air Force base about 2:15 p.m., nearly four hours after departing Palm Springs International this morning. The plane, on loan from President Bush, carries the casket of former President Gerald R. Ford and his family as the state funeral moves to Washington, D.C.

BAGHDAD, Iraq - Saddam Hussein was hanged just before dawn Saturday, dramatically ending the life of the once-feared Iraqi dictator less than two months after his conviction for crimes against humanity.

Also hanged were Saddam's half-brother Barzan Ibrahim and Awad Hamed al-Bandar, the former chief justice of the Revolutionary Court.

Robots could demand legal rights

Robots could one day demand the same citizen's rights as humans, according to a study by the British government, reports the BBC.

"If granted, countries would be obliged to provide social benefits including housing and even

Hillary Clinton goes to a primary school in New York to talk about the world. After her talk she offers question time.

One little boy puts up his hand.
The Senator asks him what his name is.

"I have three questions: First - whatever happened to your medical health care plan? Second - why would you run for President after your husband shamed the office? And, Third - whatever happened to all those things you took when you left the White House?"

Just then the bell rings for recess. Hillary Clinton informs the kiddies that they will continue after recess. When they resume Hillary says, "Okay where were we? Oh, that's right, question time. Who has a question?"

The President used his press conference yesterday to say that the raids on the illegal aliens at the Swift meatpacking plants prove that we need to fill those jobs with legal foreign workers (and with amnestied illegal alien workers) who won't have to worry about raids in the future!

He promised in the news conference and in an earlier interview with the Washington Post to make the giant expanded foreign worker program a top priority this next year.

Adding insult to injury, the Department of Homeland Security
has dropped plans to require all foreign visitors to officially check out when they leave. That exit system would have helped ensure that visitors don't stay as illegal aliens. Too much trouble, says DHS.

Congress will approve an immigration bill that will grant citizenship rights to most of the 12 million to 20 million illegal aliens in the U.S. after Democrats take control next month, predict both sides on Capitol Hill.

"The Senate bill is pure amnesty," said Rep. Jack Kingston, Georgia Republican. "Dress it up any way you want, it's still amnesty. It lets people pay their way out of sneaking into the country illegally."

New York Post Reports Incoming House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is about to break a pre-election pledge with record speed. And this time, it's one of the cornerstone promises of the Democrats' victorious campaign to retake control of Congress.

Both before and after Election Day, Pelosi and top Democratic leaders vowed to implement all 41 recommendations of the 9/11 Commission headed by former Gov. Tom Kean and former Rep. Lee Hamilton.

Indeed, Pelosi and House Majority Leader-elect Steny Hoyer publicly vowed to enact the panel's full agenda within the "first 100 legislative hours" after the new Congress is sworn in on Jan. 4.

But that, The Washington Post now reports, ain't gonna happen.
